With the majority of the American population having a belief in one religion or another, it is common to hear about those who pray for good health during sickness or pain. There are studies being done to find out if the use of prayer can effect the outcome of other medical procedures. Many people feel that their mental condition can be helped with the use of prayer as they feel there is a higher power in control and this thought give a positive outlook on their life and perhaps their medical situation. For those who pray, there are groups that are growing as support groups for all of those who are religiously inclined. When stress is relieved, and the mind is cleared of problems, better health decisions can be made but the question still remains: if the process of prayer can really, physically create healing. Prayer used with typical medical procedures can certainly help the situation and prayer costs nothing and the time involved is little. Your doctor is the best one to discuss the course of action that is best for you, but if praying makes you feel better and ore positive over your condition, then by all means, continue. Along with other alternative options out there today, advocates will all agree that it can’t hurt to pray.
